The system established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) emphasizes informed customer choice, system performance and continuous improvement. In order to maximize customer choice and assure that all significant population groups are served, the state of Nevada established a process to determine eligible providers. The process was created to insure that significant numbers of competent providers are available to offer a wide variety of training programs and occupational choices to their clients.
Nevadaworks accepts applications from qualified schools and institutions for inclusion on the Statewide Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) on an on-going basis. In order to provide training services to eligible to receive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I-B funds to provide training services to adult and dislocated workers, Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDB’s), in partnership with the state, identify qualified training providers.
TAG 15-2 and State Compliance Policy 1.12 outline the requirements for inclusion on the ETPL. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact WIOAETPL@nevadaworks.com or call Milt Stewart at 775-284-1333 or Lynda Crawford at 775-284-1143.
