Training Providers

This section of our website is designated for our current and potential new providers that offer training and education to adult and youth who are underemployed or unemployed in our service areas.
Nevadaworks, in fiscal year 2009, awarded $6,941,345 in funding to the providers listed below. These providers assisted over 400 youth and over 1,100 adults and dislocated workers.
The system established under the Workforce Investment Act emphasizes informed customer choice, system performance and continuous improvement. In order to maximize customer choice and assure that all significant population groups are served, the state of Nevada established a process to determine eligible providers. The process was created to insure that significant numbers of competent providers are available
to offer a wide variety of training programs and occupational choices to their clients. Eligible providers of training services are those entities approved to receive Workforce Investment Act Title I-B funds for training services to youth, adult and dislocated workers.
Organizations interested in becoming an eligible provider must meet certain eligibility requirements. We encourage all prospective providers to download the Training Provider Application.
See the list of Nevada WIA Approved Training Providers. Please note that all Nevadaworks providers must be first approved by the State of Nevada.
